Company Overview & Background of Implementation
Adachi (Fairuse): Could you briefly introduce your business?
Arakawa (Milbon): Milbon Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells hair care products, hair color, and perm solutions for salons. We operate not only in Japan but also in 13 countries including the U.S., China, and South Korea, focusing exclusively on the professional beauty industry.
Adachi (Fairuse): Adachi (Fairuse): Milbon’s international sales have grown rapidly over the past decade, particularly in Asia. What was the primary purpose of implementing Real Time Translator?
Arakawa (Milbon): In the International Business Division, we recognized that faster information sharing and decision-making with overseas teams would directly impact our global growth. As communication with international offices and clients increased, we began facing challenges that couldn’t be addressed by traditional interpreters alone. We needed to quickly share project ideas, accurately log meeting content, and flexibly support multiple languages. After consulting with our IT department, they proposed implementing Real Time Translator.

Reasons for Adoption
Adachi (Fairuse): Were there any concerns during the adoption process?
Omura (Milbon): We initially had concerns about information security—specifically, how and where translation data would be stored. However, those concerns were resolved through discussions with Fairuse Inc.
Adachi (Fairuse): Why did you choose Real Time Translator among many other options?
Omura (Milbon): We already had an existing relationship with Fairuse through another product, which built a strong sense of trust. Knowing that Fairuse had many large-scale clients using Real Time Translator also gave us confidence. During the free trial, we appreciated the thorough support, especially with technical setup such as microphone and speaker configurations.
Usage & Operations
Adachi (Fairuse): How are you currently using Real Time Translator?
Arakawa (Milbon): We mainly use it for communication between our Japan headquarters and teams in 13 countries. It’s also used in meetings with international clients and salons. Being able to understand feedback in real time enables us to adapt our business more effectively to local cultures and perspectives.
Adachi (Fairuse): Have you had any requests or feedback after using the tool?
Arakawa (Milbon): Real Time Translator has been extremely helpful, but translation accuracy still varies depending on the language. We hope to see improvements in that area.
Adachi (Fairuse): On April 26, 2025, we released an AI-powered “Transcription Proofreading” feature. It refines transcriptions of spoken Japanese and English by fixing typos, omissions, and grammatical mistakes. We’re also developing an enhanced AI-based dictionary feature to improve industry-specific translation accuracy.


Adachi (Fairuse): Have you encountered any operational issues when using Real Time Translator in meetings with overseas offices?
Arakawa (Milbon): Yes, when interpreters are present in meetings with overseas teams, both Japanese and the local language are spoken simultaneously. In such cases, the transcription and translation results can become mixed up and confusing. This was one of the challenges that made it difficult to fully deploy the tool in all scenarios.
Adachi (Fairuse): That’s exactly why we developed the new “Automatic Language Detection” feature, released on April 26, 2025. It can automatically detect and distinguish multiple spoken languages during meetings in real time.
Arakawa (Milbon): This “Automatic Language Detection” feature is truly excellent. Before its release, we had to give up on using Real Time Translator in some meetings. But now, this functionality greatly expands the possible use cases. Until now, we had primarily used the tool for one-on-one country communications, but with automatic language detection, it can now support multi-country meetings by identifying each language in real time. We would be very happy if this feature could support all the languages used across our global operations.

Explanation of the Automatic Language Detection Feature
Adachi (Fairuse): Have you found any unexpected benefits from using Real Time Translator?
Arakawa (Milbon): The ability to instantly translate and simultaneously generate meeting transcripts is very useful. Since we often use proprietary terminology, direct translations can sometimes cause misunderstandings. The customizable dictionary feature is extremely helpful in avoiding such issues.
Future Outlook & Final Thoughts
Adachi (Fairuse): What do you expect from Fairuse going forward?
Arakawa (Milbon): The tool keeps evolving, so we’d appreciate it if new features and use cases could be shared proactively with end users like us. We didn’t know about the Auto Language Detection feature until this interview—but it’s incredibly helpful and will greatly expand our usage.
During the rollout, Mr. Omura created an internal manual for our staff, which helped us adopt Real Time Translator smoothly. If Fairuse could support similar onboarding sessions or manuals in the future, that would be wonderful.
Omura (Milbon): There are areas that the IT department alone cannot cover, so having Fairuse’s support in those would be greatly appreciated.
Adachi (Fairuse): We sincerely apologize for not communicating our feature updates more effectively. Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. We will continue to improve our features and strengthen our user support based on your input.
